A little more freedom

As restrictions begin to ease for the hospitality sector, it has been great to see all of the food and beverage venues across the Tees valley region open their doors for the first time in months. Trade over the past 7 days has been well received, and the response from customers and operators has been fantastic and the weather has been quite kind too! Although some venues have to wait a few more weeks to put the "we are open" sign up in their

windows, the past 7 days has given them a real determination to get cracking and doing what they love to do best. The venues that are able to open are nowhere near full capacity, and realistically, it will take a long time to be able to make this possible. Being able to trade under the current restrictions has been a huge battle for businesses and it has taken a huge effort to open and operate efficiently, both in front and back of house: so please be kind and understanding if you have to wait an extra few minutes for your order to arrive. Whilst demand has been high and bookings are being taken weeks in advance, sales average has been approximately 15 - 20% of capable turnover, so there is still a hill to climb to achieve a full house. However, the past week has been an indication of things to come and being able to trade indoors is going to be a welcomed treat to customers and operators alike.
